Morogoro Education Project
Hands of africa foundation, recently has lounge the program for Disabled in Morogoro regional in central of Tanzania. The program will include HIV/AIDS and public awareness campaign for youth disabled and children. Transportation, medication and education servises is among the main challenge to the region. Mr Julias work with the local stake holder in the regional like social and welfare department, education and health care stake holders.
The Morogoro project will include the following but no last, including the mission and the goal in the regional
- To reduce HIV/AIDS in the rural area, inclusion in with disability/ Albino and rescue / protect from human rights and abuse among high risk population.
GOALS
To increase knowledge among disabled group and HIV/AIDS patients about their health
To ensure timely access to appropriate medical care for all groups.
- Increase knowledge about HIV/AIDS and HIV prevention techniques among the disabled group
- To increase the use of safer- sex techniques and safer needle practices among sex workers and their partners.
- To have mobile clinic for rural and village visitation.
PROGRAM PLAN
- Street outreach in neighbourhoods where disabled group conduct their street- basedEconomy.
- Short and intensive HIV prevention education messages will be provided on streets.
- To enrol people into small group risk-reduction education session to be held during
Mobile testing activity.
- Presentation on harm reduction will be provided by HAF staff.
- Education on STDs (transmitted disease) and treatment will be provided by professional doctor/ nurses
- Positive participants will be recontacted and provided counselling and referred to
Treatment
- Education on Injection Drug use (IDS) will be given
- HIV/AIDS education, albino abuse education, street outreach and small group work shop for sex workers and drug users.
- Community forum, discussion on AIDS and other STDs intended to break down barriers and taboos that impede discussion on the impact of these disease and albino abuse.
- Support disabled groups and HIV/AIDS groups by providing emotion support for persons living with HIV, their families and social networks.

Mr & Mrs Baumhauer Marie, from Germany who visited the center together with the Morogoro Coordinator, they spoke with the doctor Mgoa, they were touched with the situation of poor service at the Melela Health Center. They are doing all possible to asist these community to have an ambulance.
- Printing education materials for individuals who are blind and use sign language for those that are deaf, knowing that most of the Albino societies have the problem of sight (they can not see properly)
